WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SUPPORTING MEMBER AND A REGULAR MEMBER.
Supporting Members contribute a minimum of $50 to the Boulder Flycasters each year. This entitles them to participate in virtually all chapter activities or product sales at a discount and/or on a preferential basis. The supporting member may bring family, friends, and business associates to said events on the same basis. Services, real property, and other gifts are not acceptable as an alternative to the annual supporting contribution.
Regular Members simply pay their National TU Dues (please note the local chapter receives no funds from National to help with its operating expenses and local projects). They are entitled to attend chapter activities and purchase products at prices set by the Board of Directors.
Both forms of membership will receive or have access to chapter news media available on the website (www.boulderflycasters.org), on the news blog, (boulderflycasters.wordpress.com) or through various newsletter alerts. Depending on circumstances, supporting members will be given special advanced notification of activities.
WHY WOULD A REGULAR MEMBER WANT TO BECOME A SUPPORTING MEMBER
First and foremost should be a strong desire to help the chapter succeed in its stated objectives and ongoing projects. Such a member wants to make sure that educational programs, youth events, and conservation initiatives are funded and is shared equitably. Last, Supporting Members enjoy taking advantage of special opportunities provided by the Board of Directors.
How can I pay my $50 dues?
Under the first posting on the Front Page entitled Member Communications there is a link labeled “click here” to pay your dues….takes you to our credit card processing area.

We can use my winery (Boulder Creek Winery) for monthly meetings. It’s located in Gunbarrel. http://www.bouldercreekwine.com
Mike, this is most generous…we would promise to keep our hands to ourselves and not bring up the subject of beer. I’ll send a note out to the Board to get their input.
Many thanks…..Paul
I don’t see my name but believe I’m registered. Probably a delay huh.
Tom, I,ll check into this immediately….Paul
i’m not receiving emails about new postings on the blog.
I want to join for my Grandson but do not know address and costs to send check. Please let me know.
My experience with the chapter leads me to expect that there should be 100 signed members, with another 50 highly interested, and yet another 50 hanging on, but not convinced. The other 600 on our rolls is political ballast and not to be scorned nor forgotten.
Now is the time for a general meeting, carefully planned and timed. It’s important for the signed-up 34 (a shockingly low figure) to meet face to face and to discuss how to shame the past members into to joining up. They should not be made to feel that participation is essential or expected when they sign up. Some times people simply wear out with an organization but will still contribute for old times’ sake.
