I am reconciled to the project and even a bit excited. I once was skeptical. My hunch is that it will be beautiful and long remembered by the trout.
I have gone back and forth on this one. On the one hand, I think Camden, NJ could use some prettying up by Christos more than the Arkansas. On the other hand, it’s not as if this area is pristine wilderness. And anglers and others probably impact the area each year as much if not more than this project will.
I think it is a clear demonstration that with enough money on the table environmental issues get shunted aside by a minority of folks in a position to significantly benefit or gain favor from those that do.
